Donation made at awards
Brandon Lads and lasses football club held their annual presentations over two nights at the Brandon Leisure Centre.
At the second of these, all proceeds from a raffle were donated to the charity Dreams Come true, in memory of parent Kevin "Sparky" Sparks who died earlier this year.
Awards went to: U8 player of the year, Ryan Sanders; U9 players of the year, Jack Tate and Zak Allsop; U10 player of the year, Oliver Fulcher; U11 player of the year, Dan Weekes; U11 Girls player of year, Linzi Bowley; U12 player of year, Joseph Clements; U13 player of year, Aaron Bull; U14 player of year, Tony Wright; U15 player of year, Paul Brown; U16 player of year, Matt Stubbings; George Todd Memorial Cup for team spirit, Sam Bellingham; Junior Clubman of year, Katie Norton; Senior Clubman of year, Kevin Briston.
Congratulations went to Trevor Smith, Adrian Kent, Kate Sawatzki, Daniel Frappell, Tony Waring, Tony Waring junior, Kevin Briston and Ian Weekes who have all just passed their refereeing exam.
